Safety White Paper

Mercury GT · Ayutthaya

Transparency you can audit, line by line

Jet-ski rental in Thailand has long been associated with undisclosed damage charges. Mercury operates on the opposite principle: every rate is published before payment, evidence is recorded for every ride, and the actual figures are open for inspection on this page.

Safety briefings before departure

Figures are drawn directly from our operating system, counted from opening day, 8 September 2026. Nothing is entered by hand.

Every ride is documented by both parties

Before departure, our crew photographs the craft from six fixed angles in your presence, and you confirm its condition on the same screen. Upon return, the identical set is taken again and compared side by side before the record is closed by both parties — with a copy sent to your LINE immediately.

How every case is decided: Every case is judged from the before–after photo pairs you saw and confirmed on the same screen as us — no photo, no charge.

Why these systems exist

Thailand's jet-ski rental industry has carried a reputation for surprise damage billing for more than fifteen years, and cases still surface in the news today. Rather than assigning blame, we designed a mechanism to close each loophole in turn.

Our maximum charge

Never charged

Normal wear and tear · any mark already visible in the pre-ride photos you confirmed · engine/internal issues not caused by impact

Liability cap · ฿35,000

Total damage per incident is capped at ฿35,000 — except intentional damage, riding under the influence, or repeatedly leaving the zone after warnings

Late return

The first 10 minutes over are always free; after that ฿1,000 per started 15 minutes, capped at ฿3,600 per ride. Timing comes from the GPS record (logged every ~8 s — the last point more than 100 m from the pier). Never charged after an SOS, a weather turn, or a staff recall. Extending on the ride screen (฿850/15 min) is always cheaper.
